Hey I want to share with you my yesterday's Interview Experience.
Im living 200 miles away from DO and get up early in the morning, Got 2 big cans of Red bull and lots of coffee that day. Interview was scheduled at 1.30 pm at Shnyder Court House in Downtown Louisville. I was extremly nervous, because of my past conviction in my COP. Ive arrived in Louisville about 11 am and was driving around the city for about an hour. Around 1 pm I went to the building, and pass the security metal detector. I was so caffenated and eneggized that after passing metal detector took the plate with all my stuff and was trying to leave, untill security guy call me - The plate is a Govt. Propert:D After getting myself on third floor i went to the windows where nice lady asked me for IL and GC and told me sit down by the TV. There were about 10 people with me. I waited about 35-40 minutes and IO lady call my name. We went to little room and she told me remain staying and - "I swear to tell truth and nothing but truth" I lost my speach for a moment,
IO was very nice, she had big folder, I think that was my A file with everything(Asylum case, AOS etc), she asked me forr travel documents and NP passport, she looked at every page. She asked me about my Selective Service registration and I show her a proof. Then she asked me a question about how old I was when I entered the country, I wasn't sure because Im not good with dates, and start counting))
Then she went through my persecution in COP, I was confused again with dates again, but everything was fine. I told her that I have few traffic tickets but i didn't mention them in N-400 application, she marked something with red pen in N-400.
After that she went trrough questions in application except those about Nazi Govrmt. and asked me if I wish to take the oath and understand the principal of it. After that she told me to sign the bottom of the last page of my N-400, and show me peace of papper that contains my A file and more stuff, I signed as well, after that she prepare a Name change petition and I signed it too. Also I gave her my new pictures she asked me to sign them. After that she gave me form that saying I passed tests and Congratulations with recommended approval. She told me that I should expect the letter in few weeks to attend the oath ceremony.
That was it, it took about 20 minutes.:)
I was nervous and she saw that. She was very nice.
After interview I shaked her hand and disappear)

People don't drink Red Bull or coffee before interview, you'll be shaky :D
Don't be nervous, IOs are very nice people.

Uncle 2 questions,

1- what do you mean with ""she went through my persecution in COP" ? Did she ask you questions about the asylum application?

2- Did you already passed the 5 years mark? before ID?

Thank you.

Congratulations Uncle. I was wondering whether to post a thread asking what happened. This is good. Another few weeks and you will be done with oath and passport.

1 she asked me questions about persecution in my native country - I was jailed and paroled and more charges were filled. Based on persecution I was granted asylum.

2- No I didn't pass 5 year mark, I applied based on military service (almost 3 years of service), I was eligible for citizenship few years ago.
