Had a successful Interview this morning. It was indeed a breeze. Was at the DO at 7:00 AM. Called in by a nice woman officer at exactly 7:40 AM (was scheduled at 7:40 AM). Gave me the paper with the questions right away. 2 fill in the blanks and 8 multiple choice questions all from the 100 questions list. Went through the application asking me to answer almost all the questions orally. I have had 3 traffic citations (pretty old ones). She asked me if I have any documentation related to that. I did have some documentation on each one of them and gave her all the documents. She did not even attempt to go through them. She asked if she can keep those. I said yes. She immediately hole punched them and added them to my file. At the end asked me to sign (PRINT) the application. And handed me the N652 with "you passed" check box and "Congratulations! Your app. has been recommended for approval" check box checked. At the end I asked her if she needs the selective service letter I had. She browsed it and said she will add it to the file. That is it. I was out by 8:00 AM.

I really would thank Mr. Khanna for this board and everyone here for your valuable comments.

Any question, please ask away, I will try to answer to the extent of my knowledge.

Thanks a lot.

Cheers.

Your experience Vs. Mine

Hi there,
I have had an easy interview of Feb 7th 2004 at memphis, tn service center. Everything was cool and at the end the interviewer didn't tell me congrats, she only marked the " you passed" , didn't mark anything else on the form! she said , you should hear from us within 6 months. What does that mean. Is there something wrong?
I didn't have any complications or arrests or problems at all.

Look at the form I have scanned that they gave me after my interview. It is the same as it has given to you but it has two lines cut at the bottom which says Congrats or Pending or denied. Everyother DO has this two lines except the Memphis Center. Did they said anything about oath? anything?

She never said to me that I am approved. She just said I have passed the test. But she did talk about oath like She don't know when it is going to be? :D

Amishah,
The interviewer didn't say anything else but the following qoute, "ok , you should hear from us within the next 6 months, and that's basically it for today".
Any suggestions ?

Same interviewer Amishah

Amishah,
I think that i had the same interviewer as you are. After going over your form I-652, i saw the officer number , it looks exactly as mine. I was interviewed in Memphis too. Was she a white lady, medium size, kind of formal? if so, what did she say to you at the end?
Hit me back

I think we had same interviewer. I tried to read her name but couldn't. She was just cold. Here is my experience:
Hi all.
Here is my interview experience.
I was schedule for an interview at 9.30. I reached there at 8.00 a.m (its 2.5 hours drive from my home and didn't wanted to take any chance with my old car, so I left very early). I waited for 45 mins in car and then went inside at 8.45. Passed through security and went on second floor which was full of about 50 pepole who were waiting for citizenship and AOS interview. I droped the letter in drop box. At 9.23 a lady called my name. I followed her. She was not rude nor friendly. I can say she was very professional. I never got to know her name as she never told me. I tried to read it on her ID but it was cover in sweater. (I really wanted to know her name.) She never went through any formalities like "have a seat", "Good Morning" nothing...
She asked me my driving license, passport anf GC. She started going through my application confirming that all information are still current and correct. Without any pause she asked me to write a simple sentance and asked about 8 question from those 100 questions. She asked me if i have got new photos with me since the one I had submitted is no longer valid. I didn't had those so she asked me to mail it out to the DO. I asked her if I get it done today, can I submit it and she said Yes. Then she said I have passed the test. She marked a paper saying that I have passed the English and History test.

Here comes the sad part. She said since I live in Arkansas, I come under Arkansas juridiction so I can go for Oath in Arkansas but some time they are very strict and they want you to attend the ceremony in Memphis. She was not sure when the next ceremony will be held. She said they do it when they have certain number of people for the ceremony. So its just uncertain
I hate uncertainity.

Now I don't know whether my Name Check is cleared or not. At that time since she hasn't said anything about it, it is done. But now I am having doubt. I should have asked her at that time but she was speaking like a machine gun and I was nervous
So I went at the window. There wasn't many pepole waiting there. I asked the lady there and she said I passed the interview doesn't mean I am done. It has to got through some Quality Assurance Procedure.
I asked her if she can check whether my Name check is cleared or not and she said she can not.
Sonow I don't know what to do. I will wait for a month for Oath letter and If I won't see any thing in mail probably I will start working on finding my status.

BTW after interview I went on forth floor where they have a photo studio. I got my two pictures done and gave it to her.
So please take two new standard photos with you.
If anyone have any question on this, I will be happy to answer.
