Interview experience at Atlanta local ofiice:
I485 filed for me and my wife in Feb' 2002 with VSC (employer in NJ - Desi Company)
Changed employer after 11 months (during Dec 2002)
My I485 case was approved in April 2004, physical card received in May 2004 (after RFE for employment letter and paystubs)
Wife also received RFE (Actually 'Intent To Deny', but USCIS had mentioned she can take shelter of 245(i) - Grandfather scheme)
Both RFE replied together-I got Approval, and wife's case transferred to Atlanta local office as that's our jurisdiction
Didn't hear anything from local office, so visited personally for 'status enquiry' during september.
Within couple of weeks, received 'Interview Letter' for 11/18
Since Attorney is in NY, didn't bother to engage local attorney, instead spent time to prepare documents for the interview
Were called in by Immigration officer at regular time (For wife's case, we all had went together-myself, wife and our 18 month old daughter)
Officer first reminded us of our right to have Attorney, and agreed to reschedule interview, if we wanted Attorney with us.
Since we said No, he asked my wife (interviewee) to sign 'Disclaimer Form'
Then, Officer took 5/10 minutes for checking/arranging/rearranging documents in the file
Then, he asked us for copies of paystubs, my GC, daughter's birth certifcate (for marriage), real estate documents, wife's driving license
Officer asked us for copy of my driving license, and I didn't had that, but he was ok
Officer seemed very flexible with documents, and also didn't check any originals
We didn't go for 'Medical' again, also didn't carry photographs (this is not required, as officer had this with the original file)
Then Officer asked for passport, and stamped it. Took signature for physical card, and told us that we can file for citizenship after 5 years.
Officer was very friendly.

Don't worry However complicated your case is. I've seen complicated / worst cases getting approved on this forum. Your Day will Come.

Enjoy.

_________ what was the reason with your wife case???? why they asked her to take shelter of 245(i) - Grandfather scheme???
