Hello evrebody

I appreciate everybody's contribution to this forum and the info that they have provided from their experiense with the INS.
My question is:

What documents does one need to bring to the naturalization interview?

Thank you for your help!

Though you may not be asked, it is good to have the following documents -

1) Current & old expired passports
2) Green card
3) Driver's license
4) Court disposition on traffic violations (if any)
5) Tax transcripts for at least the last 5 years
6) Copies of property tax bills
7) Marriage certificate (if applying under married to US Citizen category)
8) Birth certificate
9) Selective Service document (if you are a males and became permanent resident prior to turning 26 years)
10) Most importantly, the interview notice

Alternatively, you could just take the minimum items listed in your official appointment letter. 9 times out of 10, no extra documents are needed, and its much easier on your arms!

It is adviceable to ONLY take the items listed on your official appointment letter. I remember during my PR interview, the officer asked me for an item that wasn't listed, and I told him (very nicely) that I did know to bring it because it wasn't listed. He waved his hand and said that I shouldn't worry about it.
