Dear Friends,

Finally my day is coming closer for the interview.
One question for all experinced people,

For the tax return documents, what exactly should we carry?

Is W-4 forms enough?

Does anyone know how to get all this information from local
IRS office.

My interview is on Thursday in Milwaukee office.
Does anyone have recent experience with this office??

Please let me know.

Thanks a lot in advance

W-4 Forms

Friends,

Could someone please provide me the information regarding income tax return.
What exact documents should be used for showing joint income tax return??
I have all W-4 forms of last 5 years. Is that enough??

Thanks,

KNshah

On your interview notice (receipt)

what documents BCIS asked?, did they
ask for tax return, w2?...

I would take the tax return, which is where we realy file as joint filers(or not).
W2 would not be a proof of marriage as 2 people can work and get w2 right?
Hope this helps

RE:

Try this number: 18008291040 (IRS number)
and follow the instruction to get the transcript.
The transcript can go back 6 years. If you call them in the morning, they will mail the transacript that day. You probably can get the mail 4-5 days later.

Thank you for your answers.

I am planning to take all my tax files for the upcoming interview.

I will post the details of interview...

Thanks again all of you for responding.

All the best for the interview tomorrow, I think MSNGUY 's interview is also tomorrow at Milwaukee.

Will wait for your feedback.

Thanks.

1040

I brought the copies of (signed) 1040 of previous two years along with bank statements and utility bills to the interview. INS officer kept all the copies. My case was EB-2.
I don't know the reason of your bringing tax return documents. For me, the reason of bringing 1040 and other finacial documents was to show the my ability of finacial support to my family and to prove my family and I were living together. Good luck on your interview.

You need to take your tax returns filed with IRS after the end of each year. Tax return is different from W-2. Where as W-2 is just a employment income, a tax return shows everything earned like stocks, gambling prizes etc..

You need tax returns.
