Hi Raju, KD & others,

My case was forwarded to Chennai on April 1st. I have few questions.

1. What are the chances of making the May'04 list.

2. Can I email the consulate by April 12th to make sure they received my file. Is it sufficient time to contact the consulate.

3. Should I inform to the NVC about any addition in the DS-230 or can I handle when I go for the CP interview.

4. I am yet to send the Passport to collect my PCC. I was waiting for the case to be forwarded to Chennai. Now It is being forwarded, Can I Send the passport in a week to collect the PCC.

I would like to block the tickets for May and June Just In Case. I would really appreciate any kind of lead to proceed on this.

{Going by the earlier record, it may not happen in May but
most likely in June'04}

2. Can I email the consulate by April 12th to make sure they received my file. Is it sufficient time to contact the consulate.

{Sending an email around 12 to 15th should get your some
information}

{If you have handled your spouse or children then you may
want to let them know. However they shoud already be
aware of it through the file they got from NVC}

{Purely from CP point of view, yes you can. Based on how
far away you are from the Indian Consulate (Embassy) it
will be your choice either to send it and go there yourself}

{As I said earlier June is more likely}

Regarding the Question 3.

Since the case is already sent to Chennai consulate. Can I add the new born baby in DS-230 and does it do any good to notify NVC by now. I was planning to do this during CP interview. What is your suggestion?

Baby is born in US.
for CP interview do I need anything other than I-134 for the baby

Baby is born in US.

{Since the baby is born in US you don't have to inform them
at this point. But do carry an updated DS 230 forms for both
yourself and your wife and swap them with the earlier ones
at the time of interview.

Apart from the above, carry the birth certificate of your baby
just to show in case asked for}
for CP interview do I need anything other than I-134 for the baby

{Carry the I-134 and that should be it apart from what I
said above}
