interview date setting up time at US embassy in delhi

waiting for the interview date
Our application packet reached Delhi on Aug 27th. More materials were sent by my lawyers on their request and we got a case no. allotted in first week of September.

We have not yet heard about the interview date. We contacted them by email, but were told that 'interview date has not been set up yet and that they will let us know when that happens'.

Any idea on how much time is it taking the Delhi embassy to set up the interview dates.

My category is E-1 (AC 140).

it should take ~3 months from

the date NWD created ur case # ....

So if I were you I would look at late December as a probable date .... 3rd-4th week of January would be a definite though ....
 
got it!

Just got the email back from the embassy. Mailed my letter on Oct 21st.

Interview date is Dec 4!

At last !

This is definitely a patience testing process. Good luck to everyone else.
 
congrats on ur date ....

i had made a calculation error ... 3 months from early Sept is early DEC ....

Just make sure that u keep a few days after the interview to fly back to the US ... ur date shows that u were issue the interview date based on November Visa Numbers and Delhi is know to run out of numbers towards the end interviews .....urs will be one of the last few interviews from the november visa numbers .....

NWD Dec Interview

Dear Vratta,
Is delhi already assigning Dec interviews.
I called them last night, they said right now they are doing only Nov, and Dec appointments will not be made until after 10th Nov.
What email did you use, may be I could send them an email aswell.

As stated in one of earlier posts: I am likely one of the last from the November pool and that is why the interview is on Dec 4. Just a guess!

I suggest writing them a 'short email' with you case no.

They are usually good in replying.

Interview date is 5th December

My case was also created by the US Delhi Consulate on 9th September.

I called up Delhi consulate and fortunately got through 419 8062(you just need to keep trying around 12:30-1:00AM EST). The person on the phone was very courteous. He told me that my interview date is on 5th December.

I had also sent an e-mail (short and crisp mail - if expecting the interview in december, don't forget to mention to the consulate about the difficulty in getting the airline tickets during this time) at ivnd@state.gov to Delhi Consulate and got a reply, within 4 days (on 31st October), that my interview date is 5th December...

As Vratta mention, This is definitely a patience testing process. . Good Luck.... !!
