I've completed my interview/Oath today at Fairfax DO -- applied under 5 yr GC (EB2 category),
my GC (AC21) details are here: http://forums.immigration.com/showthread.php?t=304427

Unlike many members interview experiences on this forum, my interview was little different.

When IO opened "A" file, my N400 application was on top and I485 appli. was under it,
she kept my N400 application aside and started reviewing my I-485 application.
she reviewed my I485 appli. for the first couple of minutes.

my change of job/AC21 letter was on top of the I485 appli.,
she reviewed that letter ( didn't ask any questions on that letter but quickly glanced it)
then she went to my I-140 approval in the file( I think it is I40 approval b'cos it was only one page),
initially she couldn't find the approval in the file, she had to go back and forth couple of times in the file to find it,

after finding it, she asked whether I worked for the sponsoring company at the specified address ( on the appli.),
I replied that the address mentioned in the appli. is corporate addr., I worked at the client site,
she asked where was the client site - I mentioned the client site ( she was fine with that).

she repeated the above question for other companies mentioned in my I485 appli. - I answered the questions accordingly.
she reviewed other documents in my I485 appli. like my college certs. and asked about the location of the University and
while reviewing my birth certi, she asked about my parents ( names) and my place of birth.

This was for good 10 minutes in the interview,
I'm not sure what prompted IO to ask all these questions, may be my GC hist. Or may be she was going by the book.

Now she switched to my N400 appli. and made sure all the information entered was correct,
when we came to employment hist. she just asked whether I'm still working with company I mentioned as "current employer" in my 400 appli.
she didn't ask about traffic citations - I didn't mention it.
went through YES/NO section quickly, then it was Civic/English test.

questions asked:
1. From which country people were brought as slaves
2. Highest court
3.How many amendments
4.Name of VP
5.Who makes FED laws
6.Why did colonists fought Britishers

Finally she stamped appli. as "approved" ( I was relived ), then she made sure I have a slot for my Oath at 2.00PM
but for the first 10 minutes of the interview, it was good experience without any hiccups.

With the exception of applying US Passport (USPP),
I guess this marks the culmination of 13 yrs long immig. journey ( experts, pl correct me if I'm missing anything )

like many have said before, I too join them in saying many thanks to all the members/experts on this forum for their information/suggestions/advices etc.
and last but not least, many many THANKS to the sponsorers of this site ( Rajiv Khanna & co.) and to the staff who are directly/in-directly involved
in maintainig this site and keeping it up and active for all these years - needless to say, this site has tons of information.

good luck to all those who are still in line to cross the "Oath" line

Regards

Congrats. Thanks for sharing.

This is a good indication (even this could not always be a general practice), USCIS does review GC case including issues such as the continuing working for GC sponsor employer as part of N-400 application.

Congrats and Thanks for sharing your story. I left my employer after 1 year of 485 and had no issue with GC and N-400, now a proud USC. Good luck!
