Interview cancelled.

Last week, I got the notice of the initial interview for my I-485 scheduled for December. This week, we got another notice saying that my interview was cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances". Has anyone's interview been cancelled by the USCIS? Just wondering what it is about.

it happens often, your local USCIS office has not received all of the paperwork regarding you case yet (not from you, but from USCIS themselves). So they are rescheduling it, or it simply was overbooked or the immigration officer assigned to your case has a manicure scheduled on the same day... :p

for whatever reason, it was cancelled and you should receive a new appointment time in the mail at some point.

BUT, to be safe, you should still show up at your previously scheduled time in the event you have not received a new appointment date by then.

Do not fret, it has happened several times.

Going to the their office at the previously scheduled time is good advice. Thank you, PraetorianXI.

Last week we also got a cancellation letter for an interview scheduled on 12/3. Don't know why it happened.

We are waiting for the new appointment letter.
