Interview Cancelled Phoenix AZ!

Received interview date of 11/08/06 begining of October 06. Around 10/26/06 got a letter of Descheduling of interview by USCIS stating that due to "unforeseen circumstances" they have cancelled my interview and will let me know of new interview date through a separate notice.

I am concerned. I saw some similar posts here, some very normal routine delays like training of stuff and/or vacation, other as concerning as having to involve congressman and senators.

What should i do? Wait? get infopass appointment? How long should i wait? etc etc. Please advice. Should i be concerned. Everything up until now went very smooth and on time.

Thanks for all who comment

I had something similar happen to me last May. I finally (after much effort (mostly fruitless)) had my interview about a week ago.

Here is my advice: http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?p=1539422#post1539422

Life might not suck as badly as it seems. Other folks have been descheduled only to be rescheduled a few weeks later (by the way, don't you find it ironic that the USCIS uses the non-word "deschedule" to describe an indefinitely postposed interview in which they test your English skills).

Good luck

is it before 5 years?

paracha3,

is the interview date before 5 years completion of GC?

Can you share your timeline?

Paracha3,

Can you please post your PD, FD and etc. Thanks!

My date is as follows:

PD 8/3/2006.
FD 8/22/2006.
IL: waiting

Sending an interview letter and then immediately sending a deschedule (God where they invented the word from?) notice has become a common practice at least for the San Jose DO applicants. There has been a host of folks experiencing the exact same phenomena. Hopefully, USCIS is trying to fix some goofup and it is only for the positive that this is happening. You can only hope for the best. Right?
