Hi

The details are, got letter from ins to come to ins office with original documents.

I140 approved.

Eb3 retrogressed case. PD AUGl 2002

With the same company right from begining, have all the w2's , pay stubs. nothing unusual.

Heard that interview call employment based cases are very rare. Please post the details those who had similar exp

Thanks

I read in this forum somewhere that if you get a HIT in your NAME CHECK then they call you to local office to make sure everything is in place before they clear the NAME CHECK.
While there are numerious reasons why one might be asked to show up at a local office this is just one of the reasons. Neverthless, it is a good sign that your case is being processed. Hopefully after your visit you are all set.

Good Luck,

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Even getting traffic citation (ticket) will trigger interview ?, in that case lot of cases will be called right. One thing I wonder why they process EB3 caes now when the dates are in stone age

Thanks

They received orders from Washington to clean up their shelves, but they are not approving many cases. Transfering from one place to another, just to show service time, doesn`t help any of us. Texas, with PILOT program are processing in 3 mo, but where are the approvals for 2001 cases?

I'm not sure it a citation will be a reason for interview because I know of a friend who had a DUI and was involved in a severe accident and he got his GC couple of months back. No hassle there !!!
All said it may also depend on the person handling your case.

Interview can happen for
1. They are swamped with work and send a case to local office to conduct interview ...
2. New York city office call people for "interview" to give them EAD/AP in person
3. If you haven't biometric photo/sign they call you
4. FP expired and you applied for EAD/AP

Hi,

BTW, what is SEC 245 , on the interview letter envelop it is printed SEC 245.

You may want to check my thread on interview criteria lifted directly from the USCIS operating procedures handbook:

Also, there is a link there to download the whole thing.

Please post all details

Hi,

I am in exactly the same position - EB3 interview in San Francisco office but have not received any call as of yet. My case is also retrogressed - April 2001.

Please post all information that you learn as you go through this process, it will be very hepful for others like you.

Good luck!!! I am sure that you will get it since I have a friend who was also interviewed for apparently no reason. A certain percentage of cases might also be randomly pulled for interviews to ensure quality control so don't worry too much.

Hi Hitachi,

How you came to know that there is interview , can you please post the details of your friend , and what was the process if you have the details. I will post the details soon after.

Interview-

Hi

Is it better for the attorney to accompany for the interview. My company will not pay for att. fee (interview), and the att fee is 500 for each person. Is it worth spending this amount

Please advise
