Interview - Aug 7th 2008

Hi,

I am new to this forum. Just found out about it.

Me and my husband have interviews on 08/07/08 @ 9.30 and 10.00 am @ Washington DC field office. But I am a bit confused by this notice on the USCIS field office site - "PLEASE NOTE: The Information Unit CLOSES every Thursday at 11:00 AM and INFOPASS appointments are not available during those afternoon hours. The office is closed on the first Thursday of each month and on all federal holidays."

I get the first part of the notice, but the second part of the office being closed on first thursday of each month is confusing, as 08/07 is the first thursday of august.

Dose anyone else have an interview scheduled on the same day or has given an interview on first thursday in the past. It the office open?

I checked the tracker and nobody has 08/07 as the interview date.

I read that notice to mean that the Information unit (Infopass) of the office is closed every Thursday. You may try calling the DO directly to make sure that is the case.
 
I thought so, that the info unit is closed on first thursday, but when i checked the tracker, did not find anybody else who has had interviews on that day (first thursday).
