Hi

Can people share with us their experience during the interview at the immigration local office.

- What kind of questions they ask?
- What paper work should we bring with us to the interview ( I-94, passport, …..) ?
- If the Medical examination is 6 years old should we get new one for the interview?
- Do we need tax return? How long back?
- Do we need photo ?

Any help will be appreciate it

Thx :)

my wife recently did interview at san francisco office,

my wife is a derivative asylee, i was the primary asylee

my wife case was transferred all over from nebraska to texas to san francisco office,

she got interview letter , the interview date was march 13,

in the interview letter they asked my wife to bring everything:

1- marriage certificate
2-i 94, RTD, national passport
3-employement letter
4- tax return for the last 3 years plus w2
5-employement letter of the husband
6-leases, bank statements,
7-divorce papers if there is any from previous marriage for both husband and wife

ae went to interview, the officer was very nice,

he asked my wife about how long we have been married, where did we meet,
did we leave the country more than one month in the last 5 years,

where did we travel,

then he told my wife her case is approved and stamped her national passport

with approval stamp, he said that the green card will be coming from nebraska,

we still waiting, no card so far

John,

For some reason some get interviews and while some get green card without interviews..

If you dont mind can you tell me when your asylum was approved and when did you file your I-485 and finally, did you use a lawyer at anytime..

- What kind of questions they ask? (mostly general questions and then they asked if I intended to visit COP or renew national passport)
- What paper work should we bring with us to the interview ( I-94, passport, …..) ? (I-94, asylum approval letter, state ID, RTD and proof of 1 year residence and documents relating to my foreign travel)- If the Medical examination is 6 years old should we get new one for the interview? (it would be a good idea).
- Do we need tax return? How long back? (No)
- Do we need photo ? (bring them)
