Interview at Baltimore

My colleague received an interview notice from Baltimore INS. He went there with his family. The person behind the counter examined his files and said everything was ok. However, she said that she is not authorized to grant him a green card. My colleague asked her whether she could request her supervisor. Later he saw her supervisor and requested to review the file. Her supervisor said that he did not have time.

It is very strange that INS calls for an interview and does not review the case.

Hi VSP,

It is strange I also went to Baltimore for Interview & they told us that they don\'t have I 140 papers & we will have to wait for some more time.

I don\'t understand this is they don\'t have all papers how can they call for interview?

Please give us feedback on your colleague\'s case, it will be very helpful. Has any body else faced same kind of situation?

They did not even inform my colleague that when they would call him back or anything like that. He is just waiting for their response.

I am in a similar situation. I was told that they (INS Baltimore) would be requesting the missing papers from vermont. I am not sure how soon -)) they are going to send the request. In talking to several people, it seems that the general opinion is to wait till INS Baltimore responds. Let me know if you have heard anything different.
