Personally to abbd who went through the interview already
Are these docs enough guys:

- Joint bank account statements
-Car insuranse
- Health insurance
- Lease
- Joint income tax return
- Wedding and misc. pictures with in-laws and friends
- greeting cards for anniversary, misc. others from family/friends

PS We cannot show utility bills , because all of it is included in our rent and we do not pay such bills.

Any support or advice will be appreciated and will bring much relief. Thanx

My interview not scheduled yet but im just preparing a list as well and it seems like you are missing the following:
Medical exam; passport pictures (just in case you never know); Affidavit of Support (if applicable); 2 forms of IDs and you need to make copies off all the documents for them to keep! Good Luck and let me know how it goes and what not.

Thanks. i do have med exam, affidavit, passport pictures of both of us, all of it, as per instructions
What I meant is the actual documents that show mutual life- like bills, lease, insurance. I am not sure if all the above is convicing, although our marriage is in good faith. I am hoping these show enough because basicly we don't have any others. Tomorrow is the long awaited day. I'll post after it.
Thanks for the support

good luck with you interview.
Let me know how did it goes?
I am also about to get an Interview in few month at bombay. please update us with your thought and concern

I post as I promise. Just got back. The whole interview took like 10 min. The officer checked my folder. Asked about the med exam, because he couldn't find, eventually he found it in the folder.
The only 3 questions we were asked were
1. Where did you meet
When did you get married
3. What documents do you have that can show that you live together. - On this questions I tried to hand out at least the copies . But he just said - no just name them, I don't need to see the originals or the copies.
About wedding pictures didnt even mention.
I was even disappointed, because I've gathered all those stuff. And at the end he only looked at the documents I have submitted originally (485, 130, 864) and checked if everything is there in the folder.
Took my husband's recent paystubs and the employment letter.

BOTTOM LINE; He didn't even want to look at what we brought.

Eventually he said, that they don't stamp passports anymore. That all my name.... check has been cleared. So after all this he said all green cards are electronically generated and that I'll receive it within a week in the mail.

That's pretty much it. I would say the same everybody has said so far. If your marriage is in good faith you have nothing to worry about. Good luck to everybody.

Hello

Dear NBC_June04,

Did you go thru new Medical Examination? They medical exam I have submitted with my application was 9 months old, at that time in July 2004(less than a year so didn't go for new one), but now its almost 18 months & i have to go for Interview in a month or So?

Do I have to go for New Medical Exam? or take the copy of Old one?

Any help is appreciated.

I think (but recheck on that ) that the Medical Examination Form is available for just 1 year. After 1 year you have to do a new Medical Exam.

No I didn't have another med exam. My med exam was beyond 1 year. I had it done on March 24, 04 , and the interview was April 5th,05 (two weeks expired)
As far as I know they are only good for 1 year (we've also been told by Imm Officer a while ago - 10 months)> But I've read here in the forum guys with med exam over 12 months , whose interviews go smoothly.
I really dont' know man. All our interviewer wanted to know is that it was in the folder. Didn't check any details on it.

The medical exam results do not ever expire if they are submitted (either when filing I-485 or interview) in less than 1 year of the exam date. In other words, they only expire if you have been holding them for more than 1 year yourself.

Thank you Jane. A HUGE THANK you to Everybody in the forum and to the moderators - probably the best immi website ever on the net. I can't believe the whole novelty is over. 2 days ago I received e-mail from the USCIS that they mailed the card. And now waiting for it in the mail.
Thanks guys and good luck to all of you. I'll be hanging around.

RD:765 July, 22 2004
EAD approved Oct 19, Received Oct 25, 2004

Thanks NBC June04. That was a quick one for you, only a year, mine is 4/1/4 and the processing dates show 12/03 for my area, which sucks.
Also, when you went to get your medical exam, do they fill out the form for you right there or do you have to wait for them to send it back to you? thanks

List of documents req for Interview

My Uncle and Aunt are appearing for an interview next month. Although your answers were a great help but can somebody give me a complete list as to what all docs are req. exactly.

Cheers...............

JJBBKK, I assume by "they" you mean the doctor's office. Well...the doctor can fill out all the forms for you, however, for TB test result, you have to wait atleast 3 days to show any reaction. Therefore, I suggest you give yourself ample time to get the TB test done.

By the way, you can pick up a sealed envelope from doctor's office or have them mail it to you. I rather pick it up.

Thanks

Eric

Thanks Eric, i am going to do that this week and i just found out that only the applicant needs to have the medical exam done, which makes it easier.
