Ok, so I got married in 20.07.2007, we field I-130,I-485, and I-130 on 24 of July. I received my FP on the 09.05.2007, and my AP on the 23 of October. The interview happened today.

At 9:00 AM we left Birmingham, AL, arrived in Atlanta at 1:14PM( that is the time it was stamped on my I-797c) and set down and waited. There were about 30 people in the waiting area and I would say about 80% of people had lawyers with them. So we waited for 25 minutes (scheduled for 1:30PM) and a tall lady comes out and calls my name, we follow her to her office.

Asks us for ID ( we gave here my passport and my wife’s passport ) then she swears us in and ask us what are our names are, phone numbers, what is our address now and if we live together, where we were born, where we got married asks me about my nonimmigrant status ( I was on F-1 ). She asks me if I am a terrorist and if I am paining on marrying some one else in USA. Next, she asks for our papers with names on and I gave here rental agreement car docs credit card and checking account docs, she is looking at copies and says congratulations you are approved for PR, the card will arrive in 4 to 6 weeks. The only original she wanted to see was our marriage license, no photos no questions about our weeding (we got married at courthouse). So this is my story, fast only 15 min and no complications.

Oh my wife is US citizen and I am a Slovenian citizen.

Congratulations.

I am assuming she did not explain this to you, but 90 days before your Card expires (and it will expire in 2 years) you need to file form i-751 along with your wife.

You just became a Conditional Permanent Resident and that is the purpose of the form, to remove those conditions. After that is done, you will get a 10 year GC which you renew every 10 years.

Yup, she did not say anything about the conditional PR, but I knew that from I-130 form. I only insisted to have my passport stamped and she said I should come back a week before I fly in December. It pissed me off and I was really insisting, than she said that there is a high possibility that the card will arrive, before I go to EU.

Chances are, you should have your GC in less than 30 days, so don't fret about it :) party!

Party, hm I do not know I think I will be up all night and doing research on NiCl induced apoptosis. I bought some forties in Atlanta, as they are illegal in Alabama. I think I will drink them tomorrow.

I live in Alabama, what are "forties"?

40oz bottles of liquor? I'm just puzzled how the Nickel Chloride got into them. :)

He better drink while tied to his bed and only commit crimes in his home:rolleyes: rather than out there where he can be ticketed, arrested and shamed by the judicial system and ruin his shortlived stay in the US.... I hope in a few years, he's going to come and ask for advise because he got a DUI and is facing a possible denial of gc renewal....:(

Do enjoy your "forties"...but remember...within your home.... please send Praet some, because drinking has always been good for people in the south....:D

Well, I do not think that I will ever be arested cause I bought 40oz bear in GA. Been in this country for a couple of years and I have never drove drunk ( not planing), I get a cab. denial due to DUI in my case is virtualy imposible. HM I have never heard of anyone getting denied there renewal cause of DUI. Maybe felony

Good course of action... SK. You will have ample time to drink all you want and even sleep on the side of the road, once you obtain your citizenship...:)

Immigrants whom I was referencing, failed to comprehend the simple message: don't let the bottle rule and ruin your life in Uncle Sam. At least, let the bottle ruin your liver only.... after all, drinking shrimp+chicken beer will replenish it... or better known as shricken beer....:D:D

Enjoy all your travels... because Prae will personally deliver your GC to your house...:D:cool:

hahahhah.. congrats ma..
