Interview and Birth Certificate

Quick question, do we need to bring a birth certificate for the interview?
I don't have mine and start worrying about it.
 
I don't know but I don't remember it being on the list of things to bring to the interview. Also, I've not seen anyone mention their birth certificate on here and I didn't have to show one, nor did I include it in my application. Although I did have it.
Did you submit one with you I-485? It might already be in your A-file.
Was anyone asked to provide it?

It all depends upon the interviewing officer. If your application was due to employment-based greencard, less probability of asking for it; if it was based on family-based categories (siblings, etc.), it's more likely they'll ask for it. To be on safe side, you can take secondary evidences.
 
please look at post by njdesi about his interview experience. it seems the IO asked and took a copy of his birth certificate.
