Interrupt a J1

Hello,

I'm in USA with a J1 visa doing a training in a company. I still have 5 months before the end of the J1.
I have received a very good job offer from my country (Italy) but I have to go back in 1 months time interrupting my J1 visa.
I'm thinking to accept this opportunity if the J1 interrupting process is not painful.
I haven't found many information about the interrupting process and its consequences, it will be great if someone can help with more information.

Thanks

You need to let the sponsoring agency know that you will be leaving the country. This way if you ever want to come back to U.S. on a J-1 visa you will not have used up all your time. There is a maximum of 18 months on a J-1 visa. Other than that, there is no reason why you shouldn't accept the position in Italy. Good luck!
