hi all,

i work for a major consulting firm where i interned for approx. 8mths and then got hired as a full-time employee. currently on a h1b (2 years up)

just spoke with my manager about my green card and he tells me that he is following up on the paper work with HR but HR advised him that processing time for India is several years.

is it true that india has its own processing queue?

since i was hired at entry level, i've heard that i need to switch companies so that while filing labor cert. the second company can justify my hiring. should i switch jobs?

please help.

Every country has its own queue - although India's is the longest.

No, the first company can still justify your hiring - but the Labor Certification can only require the same credentials you had when they hired you on full-time.
