Interim EAD ????

I am going to be applying for my I485 /765 in CA . After 90 days can i go to Iowa office and get my iEAD. does anyone have any experience there .OR do i have to go to a service center in CA.
i mean can we walk into any service center and get iEAD or is it dependent on our residence or the service center where it is filed.
this is very imp for me b'cos my wife can get a lot of benefit at school after getting iEAD .

------ I think you need to go to the local USCIS office that is near to your address on I-485 or your address on I-765

-----Depends on residence and local service center, some local CIS center give the iEAD same day after 90 days of filing some has particular days. You will have to show EAD filing receipt, any ID and must fill up new form for EAD
