Interim EAD: questions

Has anyone applied for the interim EAD at the Arlington office? I checked up the USCIS site but couldn't find a phone number. I've the following questions -

* Can we take an appointment or is it always on a first-come-first-serve basis?
* If it is the latter, how soon should I go so that I get a token?
* How long does the whole process take (would it take the whole morning)?
* How long does it take to get the interim EAD?

try searching the EAD forums for the arlington, some time back ( may be about 15 days ago) I saw few posts about getting EAD at the Arlington

thanks, gc6020! that is very useful information. A few questions though -

* I thought we could go on anyday and preferably in the mornings. Is that not the case?
* Should I go as early as possible or does it not make a difference?
* When do the walk-in interviews start?
* What if I don't get a chance to see them before they close for the day?
* Is there anyway that we can get an appointment?
* Did you have to pay anything?
