Interesting indeed !

Approvals of student VISA for terrorists was sent out from TSC
to Florida flight school .

Therefore, aliens waiting their cases at TSC are screwed up due to blunder
of mail room contractor as well as adjudicators.

These guys are so ignorant that they don't see
television.

One easier way could have been that Ashcroft (AG) directed all approved
Aliens to appear for a mandatory interview in local center. That could have been a smart
move to save entire process.

Any way now we are screwed.

God help us.

Why don't they just tell us things like this, either on the status web page that now says '900-999 days', or trough a meeting with AILA, or through the 1-800 number when people call to ask why processing is so slow?

Before this, based on the information they gave us, all we could do is assume that the '900-999 days' number that we get now would be '1265-1364 days' next year... Everything else is pure speculation.

Now at least it seems to us that there really is a tangible _reason_ for the unprecedented tremendous slowdown, so we can at least hope that as soon as the reason clears up the processing speed should be back to what it was earlier. If you just read the other thread, then you can see how many people are actually relieved when they heard this news.

Also, reading the many posts in this forum, the disinformation has generated a lot of badly aimed anger, for example directed at the workers in the service centers doing the adjunctiations. If this rumor is true, then they do not deserve to be scalded for being lazy or plain slow, because given this new information, that is really not fair to them.

Why did they keep us in the dark wondering? Why?

They all have an excuse to make themselves sound right.

If this story was true, why have they been approving 2002/2003 cases while 2001 applicants are still waiting?

V485K,

If you are referring to 485 approvals found through the casestat site, then you could be looking at family-based 485's, which always have been processed much faster than employment based ones. There is no way to tell the difference from the casestat web page.

Average Americans not well informed

KP,

I think an average folk in the US is not well informed. They are too busy or occupied with day-to-day life- earning a paycheck, paying mortgage and insurance, child care, etc. If you have a situation where both parents work full time, commute about 1 hour each way, and have two toddlers, you will know what I mean. It is tough!

A colleague of mine informed me couple of week's back that BBC (?) conducted a survey in the US where they found that 70% Americans believe that most 9/11 hijackers were from Iraq. If you read newspapers or watch news on TV, I don't think you can have such a belief. But ofcourse you don't have time for that. So I am not surprised when a dead terrorist's case gets adjudicated or is mailed because of ignorance.

No approvals from TSC

October 1, 2003 is history and still no approvals from TSC. All other centers posted 485 approvals on Oct 1.

Something is seriously f****d up in TSC. I think it's not a matter of stupidity anymore, it's intentional random processing.
