INS Says Halt Lifted on Approvals of Adjustments/Naturalizations

Just got the following note from lawyer .. hope to see approval coming sometime soon ...

Cite as "Posted on AILA InfoNet (Jan. 10, 2003) ."

INS Headquarters has advised AILA that the problems with the FBI checks have been resolved, and that approvals of adjustment of status and naturalization applications are proceeding.
 
Where did you see it online?

I am seriously hoping that we see a FLOOD of approvals pending this stupid FBI check.

Also, I hope the pace of approvals is decent this time on.
 
The one reason I think things will start moving....

I just sent my $120 check for EAD renewal. I've been holding off in hopes that my 485 would be approved. Now that Ive sent the check its sure to be approved soon.
 
Been living under the INS cloud for too long to believe that a single thunder bolt signifies the herald of the rainy season.

I will believe it when I see action on the floor. INS can issue a million press notices and a hundred JITs but until I see an approval on this board or RUPNet, I am not going to believe it!

Offcourse needless to say, I hope this is true!

Updated 01/10/03: INS 485/Citizenship Adjudication Halt Lifted!

People who visited the INS Online Case Status Check yesterday must have noticed that the INS had resumed adjudication of 485 cases and naturalization cases. This is also confirmed by the AILA that it received a notice from the INS HQ that the halt had been lifted. What a terrific news!
It is expected that a large number of cases be approved at both District Offices and Service Centers in the coming weeks. Please keep checking status of your case online!

status changed to interview

I replied to the RFE last month. Yesterday the status changed to
"application transferred to another INS office for them to schedule and conduct your interview. "
I was hoping for a approval after replying to the RFE. It seems I still have a long way to go. This sucks.
 
SM, why are you worried now , there were no approvals, there are no approvals, there will not be any approvals.

It may be a cause of worry to you but it is hilarious to the rest of us! :)

Silly Man needs a chastity belt in case gettingclosernow, actually gets closer to him/her/Jennifer. :D
