INS issuing GC for Oct 99 to Mar00 cases based on FP date?

If PD is current and cases filed during Oct99 to Mar 00 , seems to be INS going based on FP.. ( with some exceptional cases of course) .. Is it true? Any clue ?

No, INS is going by ND and working on cases from JAN 2000, they just forgot aboout the OCT DEC 99 cases. I have done my FP back in 3/2/01. ND 10/4/99 and my PD is current (PD 5/8/98 EB2 India) . So far nothing happened. A lot of cases from OCT99 DEC 99 are still pending. The guys have given FP back in march (before march 15 in most cases) and nothing happened sofar.

I agree with Ver_sri. I am 11/99 fp\'d 3/01 and gone thru RFE now waiting. Are you unmarried Ver_Sri, if so, then Mahasangram\'s theory for marital status process at VSC might apply to you. ;-)

Regarding approval pattern,
They are going by, in the same order
(1)officer (group of cases assigned to an officer)
(2)I-485 ND
(3)PD (that includes EB category, country of origin)
(4)FP done..

So if you have done your FP in January and your officer is on Maternity leave - your case will approved only after the lady comes back from maternity leave.

From What I noticed,

People who have ND in JAN/FEB/MAR - 2000 and did the FP in
early OCT-00 have not yet been approved, atleast for country
INDIA/CHINA. I was browsing thru the tracker and noticed a
lot of FP\'s in OCT/NOV for people who had their ND\'s in
APR/MAY - 2000. Does it mean that we will see approvals for
poor souls like me, only when they take up APR/MAY - 2000.
