INS internal background check?

I finally found out my FBI name check was cleared after 2 years of waiting, but was notified that my case was under INS internal background check in VSC since June 2006. Anybody knows what this supposed to mean and how long it gonna take?

What, another security check? I was too told recently that my name check had just been cleared...hope no more security check...

Dear Silverfish:

It is a kind of checking to see your application masterials are fraud or not. Always happened when INS got a tip.
