INS Case Status site is not working!

I got the following message when I tried to check my status. Are you all getting same message?

-------------------------

You have been denied access due to too many inquiries.

The purpose of the Customer Relationship Interface System is to provide customers (and/or their representatives) individual access to case status for applications submitted to INS Service Centers. If the system determines that a large number of requests have been submitted from an organization or an individual in a short period of time, that organization or individual will be prohibited from accessing the system for an unspecified timeframe. This is to ensure that individuals for whom the system is intended will have full access to finding their case status.

The INS intends on providing a future capability which will allow organizations to enter a list of cases for which they would like to track case status. Representatives will then be able to maintain a log of Receipt Numbers and receive email notification whenever an update is made to the case status database

Probably something wrong at their end. INS probably is trying to tune out people using scanners and in their usual ham handed way, of using a hammer to crush an ant, blocked access to everyone instead of just people who have multiple requests from the same IP.

I suggest trying sometime next week, they should have the bug fixed by then.

Besides don't give too much importance to the online case status in any case. I received my AP 3 weeks ago and my case still shows as pending approval.

Enjoy the holidays.

What has happened is that they figured out how we know that they are not processing any cases.

The only reason they are blocking us from scanning is that they want to hide their own incompetence. Before they provided this information online they could hide this fact. They never realized when they provided online tracking, that we could see the lack of work they actually do.

I'm sure they've been reading posts on forums like this.

So in typical incompetent INS fashiion, instead of fixing the problem of why they aren't approving cases, they take the path of "hiding" their lack of progress.

It is really really shameful and unimaginably cannot express in words sort of shameless incompetence. Whats worse is hiding that incomeptence. I have never in my life seen an organization worse than INS.

Its pathetic, in their FAQ they say the minute an update is available it is hown on the site.

I got my renewed AP 3 days ago and the site still shows it as "in processing"

Personally speaking I doubt if INS reads these sites. But it is going to be the end of the simple scanner as we know it. Now what is going to happen is people will get smart and write smarter scanner. IP jumpers, Delay in requests, IP Masking etc. There is no way INS can come up with a comprehensive stop to all scanners, they will just make life tough for the simple ones.

Interesting that they concentrate on fixing these stupid problems instead of getting on with the processing.
