Same Here 2 inquiries !!

The first one they took a referral and gave me a no.
Now they are saying there is no inquiery on File ..!!!!!!!!
they took another inquiry ..and told me to wait another 45 days ..
I would suggest that you keep calling them ..till something changes.
They will get frustrated and do somthing about it ..or you will go crazy..!!!!
WOM is the Final answer ..!!!
 
Got an answer finally (made in Oct 27) - 6 Mo waiting period like others. "Bachground investigation" is not complete
 
Well.. I call national customer service line again. The purpose of this call was to find out what can I do if VSC is not answering to requests.
I made first request regarding the status of my application in october 2006.. then last week I repeated it since 45 days have passed and I got nothing.
Both times I was given ref numbers..

So today I called to find out what can be done if they will not answer on my request again in 45 days.

Rep told me that "nothing can be done".. and she did not gave me ref number this time. She told me - "we are not giving ref numbers anymore"..
She confirmed that service request was made to VSC..
What is all this about???

Anyway I will try POJ trick tomorrow to contact VSC directly .. lets see what happens

Just received an answer from USCIS to inquiry which I made Nov 20th last year. It takes them over 45 days to replay.
The letter says:
"The processing of your case has been delayed. A check of our records establishes that your case is not yet reeady for desicion, as the required security checks remain pending." etc.. and they mentined that I should contact them if I will not hear anything from them within next 6 months.

I think this is the right time to go with WOM. (namecheck is pending since Oct 25th 2005, which makes 15 months.)
 
Did you get this letter from mail today?
I made an inquiry on that same date (11/20/2006) as yours, but haven't heard anything from them yet.

Yes, I received it today.
The letter is dated January 8th and the envelope stamp is Jan 12.
I hope you will get yours soon too, but I dont know whether this letter is really helpful. In my opinion the only good use for that letter is to attach it to WOM case.

Interestingly - the letter I received stated that I contacted them on January 5th 2007, which is NOT true. I contacted national center on Oct 20th 2006. On jan 5th I contacted them AGAIN, since 45 days passed and I got nothing.
Basically it means that my first request was ignored.

Very interesting arithmetics, according to them it looks like they anwser on my request within 3 days.

Probably similar kind of mathematical approach is used to prove that only 1 percent of namechecks takes longer then 6 months.
 
Incompetent Morons

I still have not recievd any letters or emails for 2 inquiries I made ....now i have taken an Info pass appointment for 26th Jan ..lets see what that accomplishes.
I don't think these guys really care about how much you try ..but from past experience of people ..if you just sit there they may never process your case...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of up friend his processing date become current, He open inquiries one after another after 45 days. First enquiry he had not received any response from VSC. On second enquiry he got the 485 approved notice after two weeks.

My is also current and also open the Status inquiry on Dec 4, 2006. Yet to received any response from VSC.

I started an inquiry 11/5/06. 45 days was last Friday (1/19). I called and the recording said if it hadn't been 60 days, call back at 60 days. I hung up because I didn't want to hear the same message from a live person, and I figured, I waited over 2 years, what's another 2 weeks.

Yesterday I received a notice for my 2nd FP. Did it have anything to do with the inquiry? who knows...
 
Called Yesterday to check what happen to last ticket opened on Dec for Status Inquiry . Representative Open another status inquiry ticket and give me the ticket number and Again wait for 45 days. This time you will get response.

I thing they open ticket and that's it to wait another 45 days.

Got written reply from VSC wait for 6 Months

After open the ticket last week about Status inquiry . Today received the latter from VCS saying that Your background check status open Wait 6 months.
If you not heard from us call back 800 number.
 
I received yet another letter from USCIS.
I did make an inquiry early last month. But I already got the response in reference to that inquiry. It's weird this letter comes unsolicited.
Anyways, last time the reason for delay was background check. This time around, it talks about security check. What next?!

Yes, it's dated Jan 30 and signed by Sandra Bushey, "Acting Center Director".
Are they being preemptive against my future inquiries?! :mad:

Did you hear from the Senator yet? I faxed the congressman's office and they got back to me the next day. They will contact FBI...

My inquiry was placed somewhere in october and I didn't recieve any replies from them

I also got the same letter dated Jan 30, 2007 stating Security checks remain pending for the enquiry I made on Nov 24,2006.
