Inquiry Letter response.

So at the end of last august I talked to an immigration officer. She said everything in my mom's and my case is ok. Fingerprints, check and background, check. They're just waiting for "someone" to make a decision. So I asked her that day if I could file an inquiry. BTW our interview was on June 13th, 2006. Well today I got a reponse that says this:

Your case is currently under review. You should receive a decision or notice of other action within 90 days of the date of this letter.

Ok, I thought 'at least this is better then the 6 month reply'. I know that reply is for pending security checks. But what does mine mean? Exactly what it says? How many people here got this reply. Was a decision made on your case within 90 days? I'm thinking of writing a letter to my congressman and senator today.

I got the same letter. I think it's a standart letter. I don't know if they would make a decision by the end of 90 days.
