Information for visitor visa

Hi

Please help!
If this is the wrong discussiong group to post this message, please accept my apologies. Please advise which group I should post this to?

I\'m on H1B visa. I\'m planning to call my Parents who live in Mumbai, to the US. Please advise,
-what documents I need to send them,
-what forms need to be filled,
-what documents they need to carry with them to consulate,
-what kind of questions they will be asked in interview, etc?

list of documents i sent to my father for his visa at chennai

1. affidavit of support
2. visa/1-94 copies
3. latter to consulate the you will take care of expenses
4. letter from employer that your job is current
5. bank statement from the bank. I has only 5K when i sent the statement.

Your parents have to carry any property papers. my father was asked about lenght of propsed stay and his other children in indian..

My parents and a brother recently received their visas from delhi consulate. I followed the instructions from following site:

For my parents, we used the TT services. The very next day they received their passports with 10 years multiple entry visa. My brother went in person. In addition to the documents listed on the site, he had attached copies of the passports of his two daughters (3 and 6yrs old). The consular officer looked at those and the affidavit of support asked couple of trivial questions (age of his daughters and the amount of salary he draws from his job in RBI) and issued the visa.
