INFOPASS - can you make appointment for an office other than the nearest one?

No appointments are available for the NYC Federalplaza Infopass office fr the next 3 weeks, but my husband desperately wants one exactly after 10 days f the previous infopass as his EAD has not arrived and his job is on the line.

Can he put in nearby zipcodes (e.g. for NJ, CT etc) while making an apointment on infopass website to see if he can get earlier appointments at offices other than federal plaza? Or is it only the closest office that you r supposed to deal with?

I have applied for naturalization in the last week of Sep 08 at CSC. I have been waiting for almost 6 weeks for FP notice which has never arrived so far, though other people are receiving it within 20 days or so.. Last week I had a service request done. They told me to wait for 45 days before I hear anything from them. Meanwhile I am also planning to take an infopass. Is it okay to ask for an Infopass while the service request is being carried out ? At the online infopass , they do ask the Service Request Number. if any, so I am wondering if I can ask for Infopass or not? Can someone give me an idea about how to get this appointment as unless I get FP done, my case will never take off. Moreover I am concerned that I may have missed a scheduled FP date because of non receipt of its notice. Can I give choice of date and time and also of office as per my convenience or they just schedule it according to what is available? Thanks for any input!
