I took an infopass appointment to inquire about my case. The officer looked at the computer and said "oh my god, your case has been assigned to an officer today. He is reviewing it and you will hear from him soon". 6 months back when I went to the infopass office ( PD was current then ), the officer told me that your case is assigned to an officer !!.. wonder what to believe. Anyway I pressed for more details and he said all the name check etc are cleared, so there should not be any issue... Hope there wont be any and he is right this time....

The infopass is not just to go ask for a pending case, it is for those who have genuine reason or problems (other than pending for long or short time) in their case like change status for example for RFE with nothing received, lost FP notice in mail and so on. But to go every 6 months to ask, I think this will not help at all. Imagine all those with their cases pending went in a regular base to ask about their pending cases every 6 months!!
