Spoke with immigration officer & got the news its stuck in security check & is there since July 2004 ( 485 RD was June 04) so thats the hold up in my case, any clues to expedite clearing security check stuff on my 485 ?

Today I went to InfoPass in Philly. It was not a good experience. She was not nice and she said that she do not have any information and asked to contact TSC. Looks like she was not in a good mood. But at last I asked whether my name check is pending or not..she said it is not pending...then I thought its enough.. little relief.

I am not sure, what is holding them... I will try to call TSC..What do you think guys?

Security check

Frigging CIS, why the heck they need to do background check for us? And why the hell it takes a while? What the hell is going on here? You work your ass off in getting education then go above and beyond to get a job and suck up to some trashy boss to keep your job and why do they think you need to be checked thoroughly as if you are some terrorist? I am stuck in security check!! sobs don't think i'm a regular guy, they think i'm here to blow up the buildings!!

I got the infopass and this is what I found and why the hell they transferred our cases from Vermont to Texas, didn't it say "to speed up the process", 'speed up the process' my ass!

How the hell they make it current for everyone? If they can make it current at this juncture there shouldn't have been a retrogression at all, period!

My 10 cents of ranting.

One thing I can't understand is the fact that we are already in this country, get EAD and AP, so if really we are a danger to this society what good is them keeping us here. One year is long enough for some bad intended person to be in a country.

Oh, don't ask for logic and reason from the USCIS/FBI ;)

All,

I think the security check is a MUST. You and I may be good guys playing by the book, but it is the FBI's job to make sure that they are letting good guys in.

Now. Is it being processed in the right way in the right amount of time? I totally disagree. The FBI needs to do a better job. If the FBI is busy after the actual bad guys then they should hand this USCIS cases to some private security agency, which will do a better job.
