Do I need to have INFOPASS appointment to get my pasport stamped for I551 at Boston local office? Can't I go in early in the morning and get it done?

For stamping u need INFOPASS. Its a must.

INFOPASS is not a must. If you don't have an appointment and go to USCIS for stamping, you will have to wait for a long time for your ticket number to be called.

Not only is it a must (I did my stamping 10 days ago) but they want one appointment per person.
