HI folks, i am hear again to tell you about the infopass appointment of today,I went to Arlington, va DO, for getting update info on my n400 application and talked with the Immigration officer and her superviser regarding the bacdkground check. First of all they told me that when did u filed ur apllication, i told them in Feb, so IO told me it too early to tell you about the case( a very usual answer) then I insisted her that i want to talk with your superviouser,A man named(xxxxx) came he asked me to show him my ID, green card, asked a couple of question, where i was born, my mothers name, then he told be your background check and IBIS is cleared and you are in the queu for interview. Then i asked him they how it is possible to get a rapid result on my background and stuff, he replied that some people get stuck in those but your case is very fine and you will be schdule soon. So i think that the reumors about the checks after the interview are wrong and they run all checks before scheduling your interview.

What's wrong with you

The IO told you that your background check is all done & you believed him. He was trying to get you out of the way so he could go back and continue with what he was doing. I hope that I am wrong, I really do.

Be positive

Well I think we should think positive and constructive,Well doesnt metter how long it takes might be ten years, but tell you onething and for that i am sure at that level(At DO Superviouser) one will think twice before giving falls info(face to face). second thing he told me the same thing which i was told by the IO on 1800 No. so i thing thats enough.

So the officer asked your name, mother's name, country and your sister's name and told you that your background check is done and you believed him... I guess next week, you will get your IL letter and then you are done. Good for you brother. Have fun.

In that case, you should have gotten the IL by now.... go for another Infopass and ask them why are you not getting your IL when everything is done????

I guess they are really doing their jobs now. Good luck!

Bro / sis {whichever applies} you need to relax. your priority date is 2/29/2008 and you just had yur fingerprint last week. RELAX BRO. let the process take its course . taking 20 infopass will not make them pick out yur application and process it seperately. You dont want an angry IO to mark your application, "then I insisted her that i want to talk with your superviouser".

Relax bro. you will always get it if you are alright.

my 2cents..........

I had an Infopass today and they told me that namecheck could take up to 18 months but they generally expect a turn aroud within 6 months.

That is what I am thinking. I had a 16 month journey, others are still stuck .. some for years. Come on !!! Patience my dear, patience.

What's your big rush? From your timeline, you've just wasted USCIS resources by going to an Infopass so early in the process. Don't expect to get faster service than what is posted.

BobSmyth and Laddybuggy, I think we get a bit jealous when we see someone like my wife with a really quick turnaround!! Can you blame me for that?? Here is her timeline:

Receipt Date: January 2nd
Priority Date: January 2nd

Early FP Done: January 23rd

In your timeline, you did not put date for your MBA? Hmmm interesting so there are lucky folks. Good for your wife and good luck to you.

This has nothing to do with jealousy. I personally see them doing their "job" and have you stuck in the namecheck and provide a little better security in the country we want to live in.
I call it impatience. Come on she/he had the FP's done March 25th ... I think it is a waste of his/her time and USCIS's time.
