Info needed

I 485 and I 140 were applied on August 2003.
I got AP and Work permit.
Did not recieve finger print notice yet.
i have to go to home country v imp.
my lawyer says that i cannot leave the country without finger print, otherwise my case will be discontinued. but another lawyer is of the opinion that it doesnot effect the case.
which one is right ? Any body Knows the rule?

I'm not a lawyer..but I have never heard of anyone having any issues going outside US for not have done FP. Even if the date for FP falls on the date you are outside the country you can still reschedule it. As long as you have AP there shouldn't be a problem. Ofcoure I'm not a lawyer, so I would take a third lawyer's opinion if it is that important to make the trip.

Since you have AP, you can enter and leave until AP expires without any issues. You may have an issue if you are out of the country for the fingerprint notice and do not reschedule, but if it's a short trip you should be OK.

Seems like the only thing you may need to get is a new attorney.
