I heard this story on NPR while hitting the roads last weekend. This has to do with an immigrant who is currently now on removal proceedings for not being upfront with an ARREST / CRIMINAL record in his home country of Turkey.

A 42-year-old Kurdish immigrant named Ibrahim Parlak faces a deportation hearing Monday. People in the small Michigan town where he lives say it's a case of Homeland Security going overboard. The government says it's just following the letter of the law. Detroit Public Radio's Quinn Klinefelter reports.

No progress yet and the silence continues. Any visit to the local office gets the same old information, "yes, we do see that your case is active here in our office and is ready for interview any time soon."

So, I have just started to do what I am good at: concentrate on other stuff that I can control, enjoy, and cherish, especially the Christmas Holiday season.

Happy Holidays, tombaan. Thanks for your wishes.
