India trip - EAD & AP ?

I am working on EAD and have the Advacne Parole as well (my wife is house maker also on EAD and have the Advance parole).

Our 485 details:
RD: 03/27/02
ND: 04/14/03

We are planning for India trip some time September '03 last week or October '03 first week.

I have few questions:

1. Is it safe to plan a trip to Inida with EAD and Advance Parole?

2. what are the required/must be/necessary documents for the India trip ?

3. My vacation trip might be 1 to 2 months, but my wife might stay 3 to 4 months. Is that OK if my wife stays in Indai that long ?

4. My 485 receipt date is 03/27/03, I think INS/BCIS processing the 485 cases from Septmber'2001 to January'2002, It might take couple of months to process my case (we never know with INS/BCIS). In case if our 485 get approved while we are in India, do we have to come back immediately and get stamping ? or there would be some time frame to get stamping ?

5. SAARS: Is it safe to travel India in Malaysian Airlines from LA to India via Taipei & Kuala Lumpur ? I am still sacry because of the SAARS, did any body travel recently in this way?

As long as you have maintained legal status in the country....that means you were never out-of-status...

2. what are the required/must be/necessary documents for the India trip ?
All copies of AP, EAD and employment letter (to be ssafer)

My collegue's wife went for couple of months, He was able to come in w/o any issue

Stamping can be done any time...but earlier you get it done, faster you will receive your Plastic

i travelled back from india ...

i travelled back from india on 7th Aug ...travelled with AP document ...though the immigration officer send me to the office they did not check any additional document.
 
Is by any chance Police Clearance needed??

Hi,

I am travelling with my wife with a valid AP and I have never been out of status in India.

The only problem that is eating me out is that "Will officials at Indian International Airport demand any document like Police Clearance Cerificate" (As they know that it is an immigrant kind of exit from India)

I have to make an emergency travel to India and I don't have time for getting a Police Clearance issued from Indian Consulates in US, as they anyway send the docs to India and we all know how much time it can take......

Can anyone please share their Advance parole "exit from India" experiences. I am not worried about the US BCIS officials as I have all the documentation.

Someone please help!!!
