Folks, DHS announced that by May 2003 they are going to add three countries India, Nepal & Sri Lanka who's nationals MUST register with INS. this will create lots of problems for us. As you know there are hundreds of thousands of H-1b and other non-immigrant staying this country waiting for adjustment. We have to provide latest pay stubs and employment letter with list of documents......This is crazy and not fair.

Everyone knows that eventually all countries are going to register. If you post some info on this site you also have to give a URL to validate it.
I just see Group 4 being called(which includes Bangladesh,Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan or Kuwait) on INS website.
Think how you are going to manage this registration if at all you have to and don't get unnecessarily perplexed.

Whether Indians will have to register or not is not that important. Let's say we Indians are asked to register, what are we going to do ? Nothing, we will simply have to register.

We have no balls to fight back. We have lot of people who simply don't want to listen anything other than their GC matter, their so called pressing stuff !!!!!!! etc etc.

It is also wrong among Indians to talk proactively about the danger lying ahead. You quickly become racist, communal.

There is not much you can do.

This is true news...

I got it confirmed this with lawyer. There was article in www.dawn.com in this regard.
I guess all the fake degree holders now must be scared!!
