In 2006, India sent more than 70,000 new immigrants to the US; that is more than the entire DV allocation for the whole world. Unless the DV rules change, India will still be excluded.
The new porposed immigration bill if passed will reduce the DV visas to 18,000 from 50,000...the rest 32,000 will go to people with advanced degrees..and other categories...
