India EB2 Oct Priority dates got screwed!!!

I just got an email from my lawyer that EB2 category for India has
retrogressed to June 1, 1999. But the state dept site (http://travel.state.gov/visa_bulletin.html) is still not updated.

I don\'t know from where the lawyer got this information (maybe some official communication). But usually she doesn\'t say anything unless it is for sure.

To answer PS1199\'s question, it means 2 things.
1)Only those whose priority dates are before June 1, 1999 can file their AOS (I485)
2)Any I485 approvals in Oct 2000 will be only for those applications which are filed before June 1 1999.

2)For I-485 approval: only those whose priority date is current will be approved. There is nothing to do with the filing date.

Thanks for the correction. Guess what??? The state dept site http://travel.state.gov/visa_bulletin.html has been updated. Looks like my lawyer is wrong. I am kind of restless today!!!!
