Incorrect Last Name on greencard.. Help!

Hello everyone!

My second name and last name are spelled
incorrectly on my Green card and SSS.

I tried calling 1-800-375-5283 and none of the options
on the menu were applicable.

I would like to know the following:

1.What number can I call to fix my Greencard? Who do I
need to contact or talk to?
2.Which form/s do I need to fill out and where do I
send the form/s and form payment out to?
3.What are the needed actions to be taken to fix my
problem regarding my Greencard?

I would like to know the following:

1.What number can I call to fix my Greencard? Who do I

------------ you dont need to call. go to USCIS site and take the printout of form I-90. you need to file I-90
2.Which form/s do I need to fill out and where do I
send the form/s and form payment out to?
-----------form I-90, if it is USCIS mitake no fees for correction, you need to send the form to the service center that approved the GC( read the instructions on form I-90 and if any problem understanding them then post here)
3.What are the needed actions to be taken to fix my
problem regarding my Greencard?

I don't know in which city you live in. Many Cities and DPS'/DMV's have
started matching the names with your passport, SSN Card, and your legal
status papers. You must make sure that the name on the passport,
SSN card and your GC all say "exactly" the same.

I had my SSN card with first name & last name reversed when compared with
the PP. I didn't have any problems up until last week when I got a notice
from TX DPS that the name on DL doesn't match with SSN card.

So, I had to go to the SSN Card and swap the 1st & last names to keep in sync with the passport. Then went to the DPS and took the alarm off of my driver's license.

Watch out... Your turn may be coming pretty soon. It's time to keep these things in order.

OTOH, if you last name is misspelled in your passport as in the GC or SSN card then just ignore my posting.
