In Suspense!

The first and only message (LUD 8/15/05) for my I-485 is quoted below. on August 18, my lawyer responded and sent the proof that USCIS received and cashed the $70 check for the fingerprints.
I have three questions:

1) Should I expect this message to change to the typical "It takes 570 to 600 days to process...." soon?
2) Will this delay the request for my fingerprints?
3) When should I call NSC if this message does not change?

"We have determined that there was an insufficient payment for the fingerprint fee for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status. On August 12, 2005 we sent you a notice of this, with an opportunity to submit the fee. Your case is being held in suspense until we receive your fingerprint fee. For more information, please refer to the notice we mailed you. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. "

Dont worry

I am seeing this message for the last 2 yrs. I have given FP and BM-CODE2.
So Dont worry, if you have already paid FP fees.

Well, when my friend submitted my concurrent application he forgot to submit fingerprint fee (I guess he got lost in all kind of fees)...He was also asked to pay fingerprint fee ..once he paid the fees ..his update says finger print fees received and case has been resumed....he also has done code 1 and code 2 so far...LUD changed but message is same old...his I-140 is approved and eagerly waiting for I-485. He is Juen 2004 filer

Do you know how long it took for your friend to receive the updated message? I think I might have to call them soon.

he informs me .............immediately after they received teh fees!
well now he is concern that his hasn't changed ever since!

Hi, eb1doc:

saw your signature that you withdrew your NIW application after EA-1 approval, how did you do that ? just write a letter ? Did you get a confirmation letter from the service center about the withdrawal ? thanks,

This makes me nervous because they should've updated my status by now. We sent NSC Bank copies of the check which shows that it was cashed by USCIS! I'm going to wait for a couple of weeks and see what happens :o

Well Yes!
My case for Eb1-OR was strong and got approved but I was not happy with my case NIW case fully. I didn't want approval....so i did send letter about withdrawl. I got one LUD change and after 28 days got letter of withdrawl.

The response from NSC varies from case to case(read officer to officer)...they might inform you soon or in 25-30 days...so don't panic...if they have cashed it..they will work on it!!

eb1doc:

Did you give any reasons for withdrawal, i.e. EA-1 140 being approved, or just a plain letter saying withdrawal the NIW application, which center did you apply for ? thanks,

Good Question!
I did withdraw from NSC.
I just didn't gave any valid reason.
I just told them that I have another petition approved and don't wish to persue this one. I took care not to give any USCIS number...who knws what they will read between lines.!!!

Mr. Green

Call USCIS after 30 days of your lawyer's response. They won't entertain any call before 30 days.

Thanks

My lawyer just told me that he received a notice from USCIS saying that they recognize that they received the correct amount and that the early notice was sent out by mistake :D

My LUD still did not change, and I'm still looking at the same old message about the insufficient payment. I wonder if this will change soon!
