Hi Guys,

Here are my details...
PD 6/97 RD 11/00 ND 12/00 FP 4/01 EB2 INDIA

485 TRANSFERRED FROM VERMONT TO BALTIMORE ON 5/24/01 (INTERVIEW YET TO
BE SCHEDULED)

I LIVE IN VIRGINIA AND MY CASE IS BEING TRANSFERRED TO BALTIMORE,MARYLAND WHICH IS 60 MIN DRIVE FROM MY HOME.

DOES BALTIMORE INS PROCESS 485 APPLICATION(INTERVIEW) FOR APPLICANTS LIVING OUTSIDE MARYLAND ?

I PREFER MY CASE BEING PROCESSED BY BALTIMORE INS BECAUSE THEY DO IT
PRETTY QUICKLY. BUT AGAIN I DO NOT WANT TO WAIT FOR 2-3 MONTHS AND THEN
GET TRANSFERRED TO VIRGINIA.

PLEASE GUIDE ME FRIENDS. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IF PEOPLE WAITING FOR
INTERVIEW CALLS AND THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY GONE THRO\' INTERVIEWS AT BALTIMORE POST THEIR HOME STATE( AS PER ADDRESS IN 485 APPLICATION).

BASED ON YOUR INPUT, I HAVE TO DECIDE WHETHER TO CALL INS NOW AND GET IT
TRANSFERRED TO VIRGINIA OR LET IT GO TO BALTIMORE.

THANK YOU GUYS...THANKS A LOT...

GANS..

I\'m not really sure whether or not Baltimore office
accepts/ and will process Virginia applicants transferred
to their office. But I see no reason why they should
not, at all. You are better off at Baltimore.

I don\'t know one personally that is/was in the same
situation as you are. May I suggest that you make another
posting asking something like this.."Any Virginia VSC
applicants got transferred to Baltimore office...please
share experience".

This way, you may be able to catch one\'s attention
who is exactly in the same boat as you are.

Just making a suggestion though..

Goodluck,
GMC

listen , this might be helpful, DO NOT go to baltimore if in virginia, i know someone personally who recevied an intent to deny because of jurisdiction. Baltimore does not have the jurisdiction to process viriginia cases, so get it transferred to virginia ASAP!!!!

My friend also had the same situation. His case got transfered to Baltimore. He called the Baltimore office and talked to the IIO. He informed them that his local INS office is in Philli. So they agreed to transfer his case from Baltimore to Philli. In Philli the wait was around 6 months and then he had his GC was approved. Hope this helps.
