In case of outright denial

Hi all,

I have few questions related to BACKLOG REDUCTION plan of USCIS.

1. What are the possibility, in case of Outright Denial by USCIS for
someone who is working on EAD ?

2. Can the case be reopened ?

3. Can one stay here during that period ?

4. In case one has to leave the country, how much time will be given for that ?

what makes you think outright denial. Actual denial follows RFE or NOID. Be positive. Good luck!

As part of the USCIS's backlog reduction plan, USCIS can deny applications without sending RFE. In that case denial will not follow RFE or NOID.

What makes you think you'll be denied? They don't deny I-485 cases that easily, I think. There must be a reason for denial, you know.

I called up 1800 customer service number to find out about this. The rep. whom I spoke to said that they have not recieved any notification and she is not aware of this. She also said that since nothing to this affect has been posted on the USCIS web site, there is no need to worry.

I also talked to an immigration attorney and he said that it is for the new filings.
