Hi,
I am on 6th year and I did a transfer of my h1 to new company B. When I was applying for transfer , company B applied for my extension based on my Company A's pending labor (2004), but INS approved untill my 6th year validity period but did not approve my extension. Can any one advice why INS did not approve my extension based on Company A's pending labor?

(Did post in Vermont service center section too,did not know which one is appropriate one.)

Thanks,
Ding

I am in the same boat as you. I was about to finish my six years and applied for my 7th year extension with Company A and got it approved. I switched company but INS only approved till 6th year end. Company B has applied for extension now.
Are you saying INS refused you an extension or they just approved till 6th year expiry. I hope thats the case, i switched based on the idea you can get extesion if you have a pending labor for more than 365 days with company A.

Got email today from my new employer Company B, they were able to get extension, if your employers emails to INS enquiring why they did not extend then INS are going to get back.
