Shit by any other name is still shit.
They keep giving us different reasons but the end result is the same, 485 processing is delayed!

My lawyer just submitted a RFE to the CSC. My case was assigned in Sept to an officer, so I don't really care anymore about delays because it makes life stressful and difficult. The approval will come when it comes and there will be rumor, reality and other things but something will never change, the fact that some individuals will get their GC before other who submitted the forms before them. This system is unfair and we all know that. There might be a delay after receiving RFE, but who really knows? Is this website official about this note? Will that really change anything? My i-485 was submitted in late August 2001 and I gave the fingerprints more than a year ago, so delays are usual in my case. The INS is the realm of incompetence and we all know that so noone can foresee what will happen, it will just happen, so lets relax and wait because at the end of the day we all will get the green card, and it is still better to live here than anywhere else in the world, that's why we are here, it is really really tough but worth it.

More H-1s coming in...
I-129 is for H-1b's and extensions, right? Does it mean they are now allowing more H1s in this economy? That is a bad thing for all the H1s whose 485s are pending

I guess 129s are for H1 -extensions also??!!?? Is it right??
In this uncertain 485 wait, many are forced to extend their H1 visas. Probably that is the case here.
Because 485s are delayed (for somereason), more 129s have been filed. So, 485s are further delayed.. in turn more 129s will go in... and will be a never ending cycle. This is ridiculous. I think INS is trying to make money out of these H1 extentsions!!
Guess we have to take this stress and wait till we get our GC cleared.
