Importance of I-140 after Greencard (I-485) is approved and processed

I want to know what happens to I-140 after I have got my GC. I have got my GC, mine was an EB1 case and my employer has my I-140. if I quit my job, is there a chance that my employer can revoke my I-140 and my GC kind of gets into a trouble? Please help.

When did you get the green card and when do you plan to quit? Your employer cannot cancel or withdraw I-140 after your green card has been granted. However, if you quit like the next day after getting green card, USCIS might suspect fraud.

Ok, thanks. I got my GC in mid-Jan 2013. I do not have any plans to quit right away, but just wanted to understand how it works.
