impact of RFE

Hello All!

I have heard, if there is a RFE on one's I-140 case, then concurrently filed I-485 is put
on hold which in turns puts hold on issuance of new EAD and AP. Is this true??

If this true then if you already have an EAD, can you still use it or it also becomes
invalid if there is a RFE?

if you are applying for EAD and AP for the first time, you should get them before you get an RFE becuase it takes them a heck of long time just to look at the I-140 and issue the RFE. EAD and AP doesnt take that long to be issued. you may have problems with renewing the EAD and AP if there is a RFE. i have seen it only once.

I don't know about putting concurrently file I-485 on hold because of RFE on I-140. Having an RFE on I-140 does not render your EAD invalid (if it is otherwise unexpired).
