impact of change of status from H4 to EAD

My wife (dependent) and I (principal) are now in I-485 pending status. I’m still keeping my H-1 for work. The question is that if both of our EAD was approved, and my wife wanted to switch from her current H4 to EAD, does this change impact my H1 status? I still prefer to work with H1, instead of EAD, even it was approved then.

---if your wife use EAD she will not be on H4 status but you will be on H1 status if you dont use EAD. to entry to US your wife need AP filed when she is in US and approved Before she goes out but if she has valid H4 visa stamp she can again enter on H4 status.
I still prefer to work with H1, instead of EAD, even it was approved then.
