Hi All
I think this will intrest everyone who are looking for good job Opportunity and wanna ensure clean Naturalization/Citizenship Process.

Q 1. If GC is pending and is someone is expecting Approval in and around 2 months.
If they are getting good job Opportunity should they switch the job ( Note : Sponsoring Company is not firing or laying them off).
Say Client where they are working wants to take up fulltime Position

Q2 . Should someone wait for GC Approval and then switch

Q3 . Is it advisable to wait for 6 months with Sponsoring company after Approval

Q4 If we leave say in 1 months time after approval , How will affect Citizenship Process.

In Short Should we change Job before GC Approval, immediately after GC Approval or wait for 6 months ???

Plz share your Thoughts and experties. This will help all our friends to decide there future course of Action

Thanks

Sam

There will not be any issue for ur approval and many have changed their jobs after applying 485 and they got their appoval easily but its your decision. I myself is working on EAD and my h1 is expired.

No you do not have to work for your sponsoring employer after getting GC. Just say goodbye to your old employer

You can never expect when the approval will come. So it may be wrong to expect the GC approval within 2 months (even if you had replied to RFE). Coming to your question of taking up the client offer or not, it depends on how much risk one likes to take. What if the client does not give the job offer similar to the one mentioned in LC ? Do you have any solutions / workarounds for that ? There are work arounds for that, but that's a separate lengthy topic . As for me, at this time i will not accept a client offer becuase i know that these clients will not be flexible when it comes to AC21 letter when RFE comes. If i don't get my approval for another 4 months, i might get frustrated and take higher risks and join client

Always this is the best option (safest) provided you have made enough money or currently making good money or don't care about making money now :D:D

Q3 . Is it advisable to wait for 6 months with Sponsoring company after Approval
Not at all necessary. The laws did not specify any timeperiods. So it is subject to every one's interpretation. I know that some people advise that it is better to work for 6 months, but i will not care. My personal standard is 1 month.

I don't think that it affects. Since GC gives the freedom to choose his job, how can they question you for exercising your freedom allowed by the law ?

Change before if you haven't made any money till now. This GC processs has become completely unpredictable. Why wait for 5 yrs with 50K salary? :o On the other hand, as i said before, if you have made enough money, then better stick to the sponsoring company.

Different people think in different ways. So there are no correct answers and wrong answers :D:D

There is nothing like enough money in this world

For most people,

so I would say better switch.

What if after 3 months, your client offers you take it or loose it.. and that too at lower salary then being offered now..

What is the guarantee that after getting GC - 2 more months or 2 more year - you will still want to stay in this sucking economy and not go home!

If you have stayed long enough, client will generally agree to give you the letter - talk to them first though.

But I agree - its a personal decision..
